Another Talent??

As you all know I am very careful with what I put in my locs. I've been freeforming them for the past 3 months and I can't take it any more! I've used aloe gel in the past however it's not heavy enough for my thick, curly hair. After much reading and product testing I decided to come up with my own. I already make my own conditioner and loc rinse so I figured what the hey! These are a few of the ingredients I used for this particular one. Shea butter, jojoba oil, tea tree oil, vitamin E oil, coconut oil, black Jamaican castor oil, olive oil, and a moisturizing hair oil made with avocado oil. I found it was easier to just melt my base (Shea Butter) and simply mix the rest of the ingredients. Since they are all oils they will return to a solid once they get room temperature however I am not that patient so I stuck mines in the freezer for about two hours (excitement got the best of me don't judge me) now this pomade is perfect for dry, irritated scalp as well as helping with hair growth and an increase in thickness. I will post a picture after I retwist my locs later on this week! Peace. Blessings.

Better Late Than Never.......

I am back....whew....it has been entirely too long!!! I have so

much to share and tell!! But I will pace myself and not give you

all too much! I am currently enrolled back in school working

toward my bachelors. I am still catering and eating lol :) I got

rid of the fro and loc'd my hair in December of 2010 and I love

every inch of it! I am currently freeforming because I felt that

they were thinning due to overtwisting. My twin brother joined

the Air Force and is now living in Delaware. I miss him

tremendously. I am working on my poetry and music still as

well as my chef jacket and apron line. I recently got engaged So expect some

wedding planning posts! :) My life has been very hectic lately

however I will make sure that I include you all in the fun!

Welcome Back! I've missed you all!
